What is your favorite color? This question is frequently used when introducing oneself or getting to know one another. Colors are around us and can influence us a lot. Everything we see consists of colors, so the question about your favorite color is natural. Personally, when I am asked to answer that question, I reply that I like purple the most among the colors, as it has a profound and mysterious sensation. There will be many reasons why people like specific colors. Hongik Tidings wants to discuss that point. Colors can symbolize something, have various meanings in different fields and give imagery to a person’s mind.

Among many colors, we chose "blue" for our November edition's keyword. We thought that blue can be discussed in many Tidings sections such as Art, Academia and so on. We hope students and professors in Hongik University enjoy our multifarious contents. Moreover, through our articles, we expect that you can obtain much useful information about blue. Blue means depression in psychology. Also, the word blue has been used as a kind of music. You can solve the curiosity about the origin of the color blue. By writing articles about blue, we learned a lot from them and became interested in colors and surroundings. In this aspect, this edition will be one of the most valuable issues in Tidings' history.

At the start of this semester, we recruited new members to join Hongik Tidings. Two reporters, two designers and one photographer become members of the Tidings. Except for the new reporters, the new designers and a photographer participated in publishing this November edition. Reporters will join after this edition, but they will first watch and learn the process that reporters perform in every edition. New changes in Hongik Tidings are always glad things. Although we can't meet each other directly, we really welcome the new members and hope to see them soon!

Time flies fast. This year is coming to an end, but the situation with the Corona virus has no sign of being solved. We can say that Corona dominated 2020. During this season, I hope people think positively and find some joy in life despite the difficult situation. Let our blue feelings be poured out!
