If I could travel in time, I would repeat the happiest moments of my life. These days whenever I deeply think about what to become in the future or if I have a lot of work to do, I wish I could go back to the days when I was little or to the pleasant evening I spent with my best friend. Then a few days later, I will miss the actual day that I spent dreaming of the past. I think I am living on with such wishes, willing for never-ending happiness; but at the same time I know there cannot only be happy and comfortable moments in life. So, if I were to have this special power to travel in time, I would choose a repetition of past memories, which is impossible in reality!

If I can time travel to any time, I want to travel to 2100 and see how things have changed from today. There are many science fiction movies that predict what the future of Earth will be like and they all predict the future in different ways. I wonder how far humans will have developed in 2100. I want to know whether it’s a better world in 2100 than 2021, or if we end up in the biggest crisis we have ever seen. We will definitely not be using cars like now, we might fly or just teleport. We won’t carry our ‘heavy’ phones. There might not be any animals on Earth anymore. Or maybe we might not be living on Earth and have migrated to somewhere else in space. If I give birth to a child in the next 20 years, my kid will still be alive in 2100 or I could still be alive!!!!!! OMG I just want to take a quick glimpse of how the world has changed in the future and see what it is like to live in 2100. I think it will be a very refreshing experience for me and very fun indeed.

If I can go back in time, I would go back to the summer of 2010. In 2010 when I was ten years old, I was preparing for a piano competition. Practicing for the contest was the only thing I concentrated on at that time, without having any worries about school grades or going to university. I was happy even though I practiced the same piece over and over again. Even today, I can't forget being stuck in a small room playing the piano all day long. Through practice, I won a prize in the competition. That experience made me immerse myself totally in one activity and helped me realize the power of concentration. I enjoy listening to music and playing the piano in my free time to this very day. It helps to both motivate and relax me. For this reason, I want to go back to the summer of 2010 and see myself full of passion.

Being able to travel in time would be a tremendous development in science. In order to travel in time, we need to find materials that move faster than light. If such materials are found, Einstein’s Theory of Relativity will become a false theory from its beginning. New theories will start to emerge. It is said that there has been big opportunities in modern physics before and after Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. If I see this situation before I die, there will be a new paradigm in science, and I cannot stop admiring the thought of that.

But apart from that, I’m not going to travel in time. I have tried hard to live life in the present and had to endure some difficulties. Also, I am trying my best to make a better future than the present. The driving force behind my life in the present is to imagine myself achieving what I want. If I go back to the past, I will again have to endure the difficulties I faced. If I go to the future, I will see the results of my current efforts, which might cause me to lose my driving force.

If I could have an opportunity to time travel, I would love to travel to the future. The reason why I would not like to travel back to the past is pretty obvious. I am satisfied with my life right now, and I would not want to settle down in the past. You never know what's going to change the present if you change the past even a little. A small change might snowball up to change my life entirely. Anyway, if I have a chance to time travel, I would love to see myself in my mid-30s. Out of my whole future, I would choose to see myself in that period because it would determine how I would live the rest of my life. I might have a stable job and house hopefully, and I might even have found a life companion. I'm curious about how my life would look after I took these first steps in society.

I think it's hard for people to unite as a single group nowadays because each person has their own problems. Each person’s problem seems to differ from others. Since we can't afford to pay attention to others, there isn’t enough discussion about an individual’s problem compared to the group problems that society has.

For this reason I want to experience Korea in the 1980s. People born in the 1960s had a clear cause of their problems at that time and a community that could fight together. They also had enough jobs to earn money after the demonstration. Nowadays it seems like all young people are climbing a sand castle that is breaking down all together.
