Road to You

Hello everyone. Since we are celebrating the Hongik Tidings' 200th issue, in this section, I would like to let you know how the Hongik Tidings is produced, how it is distributed, and how it arrives to you.

How to distribute HT, this section is a homage to 'How to' for the Hongik Tidings seniors, who have published 100th issue! The Hongik Tidings is largely composed of planning, production, completion and distribution. I will explain it in more detail. I divided it into 3 sections, so let's read about it.

  1. Planning

Planning Meeting - Reporters and designers struggle to think of the material for an article, the theme of the issue, and the composition of each section. Just as an abundance and variety of ingredients makes the breadth and taste of the dish even better, good-quality ideas are the ingredients for better articles.

First Deadline- If there is a prolog, then there should be a development? We prepare completion of the initial plan and composition of article. We should prepare an introduction and the direction of the article. Designers prepare the theme and the cover for the issue.

Feedback – The importance of feedback is emphasized every time. Other reporters can find what the writer cannot see. In fact, feedback is constantly being done. It goes on until the issue is finished.

    2. Making

Second Deadline - This is a step when articles are almost completed. Of course, it is the case where articles, and the completion of the entire magazine is separate. As the article is completed to some extent, the design of the article is also completed according to the article.

Correcting - Foreign professors read articles and give feedback to us, for full completeness of the articles. Of course, we are ashamed if there are a lot of modifications for our mistakes in the articles.

    3. Completion and Distribution

Final Deadline – The articles are finished. There are only a few modifications, like a minor computer bug patch. It is also the time that the designs for the articles are completed.

Completion - The articles are decided through the planning, and the magazine is completed when the reporter's writing, designs of the designer, and the feedback from the professor and the colleagues are gathered together.

Distribution and Delivery– We ship magazines to devoted readers who loyally read our Hongik Tidings and we distribute the magazines to the distribution boxes installed throughout the school. The Hongik Tidings arrives to you through this way!
